The William Fox, Jr. Foundation, which is named for the founder of the Fox Film Corporation's grandson, is a private grant-making foundation, supporting institutions and programs that educate for life. The Foundation was incorporated in Delaware in 1991 and is a not-for-profit organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code

Particular attention is placed on supporting programs whose purposes are to educate through digital media and the visual and performing arts. The Foundation provides grants for the development of new ways in which to use technology in the field of education and is committed to the development of our country's educators in the uses of digital media and other new technologies.

The Foundation also supports certain health related issues and the search for a cure for certain diseases including Asthma, Multiple Sclerosis and Cancer.
